چکیده

Introduction: Urinary fistula is the major complication after partial nephrectomy and occasionally refractory to conservative treatments. Case Report: A 66-year-old man with renal cell carcinoma was treated nephrectomy. Diagnosis of urinary triggered by drainage perirenal abscess surgery. Being ureteral stenting, a dilated ventral upper calix detected in subsequent fistulography, whereas or its connection pelvis not demonstrated excretion phase enhanced computed tomography. Considering possibility isolated due infundibular injury besides communicating pelvis, we performed additional for pole kidney immediately closed collecting system. Open Partial Nephrectomy without Ischemia; Case Series

Aims: Renal vascular clamping during partial nephrectomy can lead to renal ischemia and kidney damage due to reperfusion injuries, but a surgical technique without any ischemia can eliminate such unwanted effects on kidney function. The present study aimed to demonstrate the feasibility of partial nephrectomy in conditions where the renal artery is ready to be clamped. Patient Information: In ...

Comparison of Laparoscopic Versus Conventional Open Partial Nephrectomy in Dogs

Objective- Laparoscopic partial nephrectomy (LPN) has been proven to be a safe and effective technique in human. This study was conducted to evaluate the feasibility and safety of utilizing laparoscopic partial nephrectomy in dogs and to compare this technique with open routine partial nephrectomy for the first time in Iran. Design- Experimental study. Animals- Sixteen large mixed-breed femal...

Mini-Flank Supra-12th Rib Incision for Open Partial Nephrectomy Compared with Laparoscopic Partial Nephrectomy and Traditional Open Partial Nephrectomy

PURPOSE The purpose of this study was to report our approach of partial nephrectomy (PN) using a supra-12th rib mini-flank incision. We compared mini-incision open partial nephrectomy (MI-OPN) with open partial nephrectomy (OPN) and laparoscopic partial nephrectomy (LPN) to verify whether MI-OPN can be an alternative to OPN and LPN. METHODS This was a retrospective single-center study includi...

Ureteral obstruction and urinary fistula due to fibrin glue after partial nephrectomy: A case report and review of the literature

In the present study, we report the case of a 69-year-old female who developed urinary leakage following partial nephrectomy (PN) to remove left renal masses. The results of CT and MR urography revealed left proximal ureteral obstruction and urinary fistula. Reoperation was performed on the 16th postoperative day to explore the left kidney and ureter in order to relieve the obstruction. The lef...

Operative Outcomes of Robotic Partial Nephrectomy: A Comparison with Conventional Laparoscopic Partial Nephrectomy

PURPOSE To determine the feasibility and safety of robotic partial nephrectomy (RPN), we compared the operative outcomes of patients who had undergone RPN with those of patients who had undergone laparoscopic partial nephrectomy (LPN). MATERIALS AND METHODS Between February 2009 and June 2010, 13 patients underwent transperitoneal RPN (group 1) and 14 patients underwent transperitoneal LPN (g...
